THE SWALLOW - 3,000,000 SEK

It was a time when Sweden was on everyones lips. With the matchmaker king Ivar Kreuger as conductor of the increasingly strong Swedish economy, the rumor about the strong country up in northern Europe spread across the world.

Everyone was obviously wondering who this man was.

The lonely, quiet economist and engineer who, with a fantastic memory and a lightning-fast calculating brain, made his empire with matches as its central currency grow day by day.

It wasn't just Sweden's economy that was booming thanks to Ivar Kreuger. Of course, the numbers were also spinning up pretty quickly in his private bank account. And with the opportunities that this fact opened up, he was costing himself more and more with each passing week.

Of course, only the very best fit into the international life that Ivar Kreuger lived. The best art hung on the walls of his apartment on Villagatan. The most beautiful furniture stood in his living rooms and the world's best car brands stood in his garage.

Growing up in the seaside town of Kalmar, the sea had been a constant playmate, which had fostered both his and his brother Torsten's interest in boats since childhood. When in 1928 he needed a super-fast speedboat between Stockholm's inner city and the summer resort of Ängsholmen at Kanholmsfjärden, the result was the 11.4-meter long saloon racer Svalan.

The Swallow was actually a pure racing boat disguised as a comfortable cruiser that, with 650 aircraft engine horsepower, pushed her up to a dizzying 52 knots.

Today, the Swallow is alive again.

A fantastic replica-built boat that is now 25 years old and is a classic in its own right. The boat's modern client and owner since new, however, has finished sailing with her and is now looking forward to the next enthusiast taking over.

What you get is something completely special. A boat that few other classics in Europe can match. Built according to Ruben Östlund's original drawings from 1928 and powered by a powerful Italian BPM-V12 with 650 Italian horsepower.

Sitting in the cockpit and driving is as amazing as riding in the back of the coupé. The acceleration as the large propeller pushes the boat forward is impressive and the sound from the double copper pipes is magnificently deafening.

Now the Swallow can be yours for the reasonable price tag of three million kronor. A lot of money – absolutely, but not expensive in any way.

Are you the one who strikes?
